Sex on Toast

Melbourne raw early 80’s funk group
Sex on Toast are a 6 to 8-piece explosion who specialise in raw early 80’s funk, hard-edged new jack swing, blazing improvisation and heartfelt blue-eyed soul. Currently residing in Melbourne, Australia, their choreographed stage act, complex arrangements, performative larrikinism and danceability have won the hearts of casual punters and hardcore fans alike, across Australia.

Bobby Alu

Byron Bay singer, ukulele strummer and drummer
Amidst smooth harmonies, rhythms inspired by a strong family lineage of Polynesian performance, and unassuming grooves that work a gradual, smile- inducing high through even a casual listener, Bobby Alu tunes have a way of sneaking into the subconscious and taking up residence. Every now and then, one will pop up as a toe-tapping reminder to take it slow, enjoy the ride. Though it’s not all palm trees and daydreams – there’s a robust energy in Alu’s mastery of traditional Samoan log drums, and a vitality to his songwriting that nods to world, roots and pop intelligence.

The Little Lord Street Band

Perth band
The Little Lord Street Band feature some of the most respected writers, singers and players of the indie, roots and Americana bands of Perth. They channels classic electric guitar riffery, multi-part male / female harmonies, brilliant life-lived lyrics and a performance that you can’t sit down for.

The Kris Nelson Band

Local Albany Trio

Kris Nelson is a multi award winning indie/folk artist based in WA’s Great Southern. His sound falls somewhere between the likes of Passenger and Gregory Alan Isakov. It’s best described as a blend of the lyrical focus of folk and the energy and stylings of indie. With over 15 years of experience under his belt, Nelson’s original music has allowed him to tour as far as Canada, The US and many times to the Eastern States. Recently joined by arguably the two most important staples of the Albany music scene. Tony King on Bass and Paul Myers on drums, compliment the sound like only true veterans could.

Los Car Keys

Denmark based world music ensemble

Come along and go wild with the high-fiving fun crew from Denmark. Barry Heydenrych (33 Trees, Mandala) has flailing fingers on guitar and charango, Marie Limondin (Merida Orchestra, Mandala) infuses wildly and beautifully on violin, and Helen Heydenrych moves and grooves with her ukulele and percussion. Peter Usher (Peter Usher and the Global Pandemic) leads on vocals and guitars and is joined by backliners and vocal harmony duo Simon Neville (vocals, bombo, djembe, mandolin) and Louise Duxbury (vocals, u-bass, percussion).
