“Marco Pierre White has been one of the biggest names in the culinary world for decades and it is a massive coup to have him appear at Taste Great Southern,” Mr Papalia said.

“Congratulations to everyone involved in getting him on board for the 2018 event.

“Culinary events, such as Taste Great Southern, play a crucial role on Western Australia’s diverse events calendar as they help showcase the State’s amazing food and wine regions and help drive visitation.”

Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan said WA’s growing reputation for having fresh produce, premium wines and high quality boutique beverages “makes us a foodie’s paradise”.

“Events such as IGA Taste Great Southern help reinforce that reputation and provide a great platform to show the world what WA has to offer,” she said.

It is a celebration of the wine, food and tourism of the Great Southern with a line-up of great wine, local food, craft beers, spirits, tourism product, produce and local crafts with live music and guest chefs sharing their inspiration from local produce at cooking demonstrations, along with wine seminar sessions.
