BIOGRAPHY

At the age of 17 Jason started as an apprentice in Perth. After successfully completing his apprenticeship he moved to London in his early years for 2.5 years where he worked in a number of high end restaurants such as The River Café in London and further trained under Michelin Star Chef Marcus Wearing who trained Bradley Cooper for the role in 'Burnt'. On his return to Australia, Jason moved to Melbourne where he took on the role as Head Chef for award winning, hatted restaurant 'Il Bacaro' 
 
Perth called Jason back to the West where he opened his own venue in Mount Hawthorn, Divido (meaning to share) with much success.  Gail Williams and Rob Broadfield have written many positive reviews over the 10 years Jason owned this award winning venue and Jason’s reputation and that of Divido’s made this a landmark in the Hospitality industry. 


After many years of being at the forefront of his business, Jason and his wife decided that a focus on his family and work life balance were a priority and sought a change of pace. Jason had fallen in love with Denmark during his visit to the Great Southern. A Head Chef position became available at Boston Brewing Co. & Willoughby Park and the stars aligned for Jason and his family to relocate.  


Since taking on the role of Head Chef, Jason has improved the food offerings at Boston Brewing Co. & Willoughby Park and has made significant changes to streamline the back of house processes. Connecting local produce to their customers seemed a must and has been a focus of Jason’s over the last 12 months. Jason’s rustic European / Mediterranean style has been a huge success with locals and tourists alike and caters to all demographics. Shared dining, a la carte options and family oriented dishes whilst taking into account dietary requirements such as celiac, vegetarian and vegan. Local fresh caught marron, Denmark cheese and local yellow butter beans are just a few of the items found on Jason’s menu which will continue to grow as he becomes further immersed in the local community.
