Geoff Richardson is a chef in love with the Great Southern and its produce. Originally from the UK, Geoff learnt to cook in boutique pubs and restaurants in towns and villages in the English Countryside. Here, Geoff learnt the philosophy of ‘food being true to and reflective of a region’, where game, and trays, of garden vegetables are still traded for pints of beer at the local pub.

Relocating to Perth, Geoff embraced the Western Australian restaurant scene at 150 East in Ascot, where he cooked for several years leaving as acting Head Chef. It was an easy decision to move to the Great Southern, where he can have direct contact with the local farmers, growers and producers. The amazing regional wine sealed the deal.

 Geoff now runs BG’s Kitchen at Quality Apartments Banksia Gardens Albany, which focuses on using quality Albany produce in simple, delicious, from-scratch cooking.
