Amy completed her apprenticeship under the hand of renowned WA Chef, Russell Blaikie, at Perth’s acclaimed Must Wine Bar. She then cooked her way around the country settling in Melbourne and worked under chef Ricardo Momesso at SOS.

In 2007 she returned to WA and found a love for Albany and the wonderful produce from the Great Southern. She then worked as a personal chef at the luxury retreat Maitraya until she opened Liberté.

Amy at her award-winning restaurant, Liberté has put Albany on the hospitality map with its baroque-opulent-character filled bar / dining hall and creative menu. Amy’s food is ballsy, flavour packed, and technique ridden, and it explores the relationship and influences French food has on the food of Vietnam.

Liberté has been awarded an hat in the Fairfax 2018 Australian Good Food Guide and another hat in the Fairfax 2019 Australian Good Food Guide. Liberté has also won third best regional restaurant as voted by Gourmet Traveller in their 2018 Restaurant Guide, the bar of the year for 2019 by Gourmet Traveller and STM.

Amy is a champion of the amazing food that is produced in the Great Southern, and winds these ingredients into the dishes that make Liberté unique and exciting.
