DESCRIPTION

Enjoy the best of Great Southern’s wine, craft beer, cider, spirits, food, local produce and tourism in a festival to celebrate this great region! With plenty of award winning wines, fresh produce and great people, it will be an enjoyable day out!


You can also sit in on a wine seminar with Alex Johnson from Plantagenet Wines, watch a Mystery Box Challenge between Adam Liaw, Amy Hamilton and Geoff Richardson at the Stirling Ranges Beef Cooking Theatre, buy some local produce and delicious tapas from some great foodies and for the kiddies, get their face painted, all while listening to some great live music!


Or for something special you can upgrade and indulge yourself in The Lake House Denmark VIP Lounge, an exclusive lounge retreat with wine and food included or learn and cook with the talented Perth chef, Sophie Budd in one of our Cooking School classes.


No matter what you do, it all adds up to a delightful day where you can discover new wines, taste great food, learn something new and enjoy indi tunes in a relaxing park setting in the heart of Albany!

Transport is available complimentary from Denmark.

Children under 18 are free with a guardian.

FEATURE AREAS

The Lake House Denmark VIP Lounge 
New to the festival is The Lake House Denmark VIP Lounge for those looking to indulge a little more than usual! It boasts under cover and garden courtyard areas with tables and seating for comfort. Guests can enjoy complimentary wine from the private bar and gourmet BBQ in the afternoon while also exploring the event tasting and sampling from the amazing selection of Great Southern wines with your premium Plumm tasting glass. Tickets are $95, pre purchase only and include festival entry.

Cooking School
Learn from an incredible Perth chef, Sophie Budd at one of the two Cooking School classes throughout the day. They are an all-inclusive experience with equipment, ingredients, recipes to take home and a delicious meal to enjoy afterwards. Each session will go for 45 minutes, tickets are $75, pre purchase only and includes entry to the festival and a wine glass.

Wine Seminars
Throughout the day, there will be two wine seminars presented by Alex Johnson from Plantagenet Wine, who is well respected in the wine industry for his knowledge and professionalism. Each session will include tasting and chats on four Great Southern wines that will feature at the event. Tickets are $10 each and pre purchase only. Please also note, this ticket type does not include entry.

Cooking Demos
At the Stirling Ranges Beef Cooking Theatre, watch as Adam Liaw our guest chef goes head to head with hatted Restaurant Liberte chef, Amy Hamilton and the region’s rising star Geoff Richardson from the BG’s Kitchen at Quality Apartments Banksia Gardens Albany as they complete a Mystery Box Challenge and battle it out for dish of the day! Each will talk through their recipe and techniques as they race against the clock, with some tasters at the end. It is free to attend.

Music
Live music from two popular local indi artists will set the scene on a great day full of wine tasting, cooking demos, talking to local producers and eating some delicious food.
